Looking for a 95 F150 website

OK so I'm looking for some information about my 95 F150 XLT.
I would also like to see the differences between the different models, like XL, XLT, Lariat, Lighting and so forth. Does anyone know of a web site that would have this information?

I'm sure there is probably a book out there that would have it but I don't really want to buy one just for the couple questions I have.

You found it! Post your questions & people here will try to help you out. The differences among XL, XLT, & Lariat are just options. I have an XL and don't have power windows, locks, rubber flooring, etc. The XLT would have the power options & carpeting & stuff.

PS, nice 67!

Sorry about the images showing up twice, I posted it and then decided to put it in my sig later. I guess my sig was updated on my post?

Second thanks for the comments on my 67, it still has a way to go though.

Well here were the questions I was trying to get answers for.
What options did the Lariat have that the XLT didn't?
What is the difference between the standard models and the lightning of that year?
And what kinda HP rateing (sp) did the F150 have that year?

I saw a 95 Lightning last weekend in St Louis and I was curious what it had that made it a Lighting.

Sorry about the glob of questions...

for what engine?

the 93-95 lightnings came with 5.8L engines with i THINK aluminum heads and different transmissions. they make more hp and torque than the regular f-150 5.8's.

Not everything matches up on the car. I admit that openly. It has a salvaged title and when it was restored the person who did it must not have cared about matching things up, just getting it to sell.

I have the original paperwork, run the VIN and when my insurance insured it they also got a Cobra. Unlike most people who throw a badge on their car and call it something it's not, I can back mine up with the proper paperwork.

The 302 in 95 was rated at 205 hp 275 lbs
The 351 was rated at 215 & 315 lbs(I think)
The lightening 351 had quite a bit more hp & torque. I can't remember exact #s but I think it was close to 300 hp. 285 or something like that.

Not sure on the option differences from XLT to Lariat, but it wasn't a whole lot.

I think the lightning had gt-40 iron heads...
The lightning is kinda the sports car of the truck world. It hadles well and has lots of horsepower.

Feyd: (or anyone else) If you want i can run the vin through carfax for you for free...let me know.

Thank for the carfax offer. I may take you up on that sometime.

I think I have just about got it. One last thing, did the Lighting have any body mods? Was it just standard cab, etc etc etc...

Matt has the rating numbers right on the Lightning.

They also came with 4:10 LS rears, GT-40 intake and heads. I'm fairly sure they all came with the E4OD tranny, and they were all speed density as well. In reality a stock 1st Gen Lightning is really not all that quick by todays standards.

If you want in depth scoop on the Ls check out the boards over at NLOC . You can get info on everything from stockers to cammed intercooled blower trucks.
