C6 trans problems
Whats up guys,
I have a C6 trans in my 1991 F-250 4x4 and i ran into alittle problem.
The weight on the flywheel came off and destroyed the bell housing.
It looks like someone took a hammer and smashed it several times.
Has anyone ever heard of this happpening?
I just had the trans rebuilt acouple of months ago......so she only has a about 3K miles on it.
I was doing a line-lock.......and shifted to 2nd gear (about 5700 RPM's) when she let loose.
Does anyone know of a good flywheel that will take this abuse?

Maybe your flywheel had a minor flaw which was amplified when you hammered on it.
Try FordMotorSports which is called something else now. C-6 stuff should be easy to come by. Finding a decent bell will be slightly harder, check the auto recyclers.
