Did it help?

I see from your sig you have the electric fan installed, did it add any SOTP (seat of the pants) tq/hp increase? Just curious..

I'm in the process of installing an electric fan on my 88 5.0L V8. Right now I'm driving it without fan and have no overheating problems at all. Of course, I'll have to install the el. fan before summer comes along.
Didn't notice a huge difference other than it starts up faster, runs smoother and quieter. I'll see about mileage in a few weeks, I guess.

Thanks!

That answers it for me! If I'm not going to feel the benefit I'm not gonna do it at this point. Thanks!

jerryK,
i did feel a SOTP benefit, but i did the electric fan and the underdrive pulleys both at the same time. my main reason for the fan was because ever since the body lift, the radiator sits higher than the fan so it would run a little hit during the summers. it sure does run much quieter, though. if youre looking for SOTP gains, then I say go another route for now. hope this helps!

Agreed

I did pulleys and felt a very nice improvement. Sounds like the fan would keep it quieter but thats about it.. I'll pass for now. Thanks for the input!
