Carb stud torque?

How much torque should i put on my carb studs? They are going in to an aluminum intake (edelbrock performer rpm). Would you recommend loctite? BTW does anyone online carry stud installer tools for the smaller 1/4" studs? I couldn't find any at the local parts store.

15 ft.lbs. should be plenty, and 271 loctite would be wise for the studs, but don't use any loctite at all on the nuts used to hold down the carb. As far as a "stud installation tool", just use two nuts; tighten them against each other on the stud, and then tighten it by turning the uppermost nut.

Take care,
