Cruise Control

I’ve read several of the threads about the cruise control. Prior to changing the clock spring on my 1994 Ford F150 5.0 XLT the cruise did not work, and the horn did not work. After changing the clock spring, the horn works, but the cruise does not. I also changed the cruise control brake release switch. And have checked all the fuses. Anymore ideas as to why my cruise doesn’t work?

did you double check the connectors behind the airbag? Maybe the buttons are no good. if that on switch is no good, the rest of the buttons are useless.

the four screws that attach your airbag to the steering wheel Remove those after disconnecting your battery so the airbag doesn’t go off in your face. Then you should see the cruise control connectors. Make sure they are firmly connected. Use a voltmeter to check if they work. I don’t have a picture but it’s pretty obvious what your looking at when your in there

If the cruise control recall was done, the recall pigtail harness has an internal fuse. When you replaced the disconnect switch on the master cylinder, did you also replace the pigtail?
