I have a 1994 Ford F-150 XLT 4-wheel drive with dual tanks and the 5.8 l V8 it runs great for about 45 minutes then the check engine light and overdrive light we're both flash it will chug in surge and eventually die let sit for about 10-15 minutes it'll fire right up and go for another 45 minutes truck only has 156k what could cause this

 

Have you checked the fuel pressure? How about the fuel filter?
