I have a 1994 302 5.0 (single intake hose) auto 2wd. I started my truck it ran started making a whining noise almost like the water pump. I cut my truck off it started put it in reverse press the gas pedal it choked out. Cut the key off turn it back on check engine light comes on truck turns over but does not run. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

it finally started. Turns out my pressure release radiator cap was popped and I was extremely low on coolant.

 

Well,great, always good to be something relatively easy and cheap to fix.
