Abs light and no cruise control

I have 96 F-150 351 4x4 auto just recently my abs light came on and my cruise stopped working I replaced the cruise control switch on the mater cylinder because I knew that was a problem with these trucks and that didnt fix the problem I have unplugged and cleaned all of the connectors that have to do with the abs and cruise control system. I’m out of ideas at what it could be, any ideas help.

Does the brake light switch work correctly? Does the 3rd brake light work?

The one on the pedal - do the brake lights come on when you step on the brake and go off when you take your foot off?

Fix your ABS problem and the cruise will be fixed, as if by magic.

Does your speedometer work?
If an automatic, does the transmission still shift normally?
Does the ABS light come on almost immediately upon starting the engine or does it come on after you start driving?
Does the ABS light flash a two-digit code or just come on solid?

If the high-mount brake light works correctly, there is nothing wrong with the brake pedal switch. It's a simple SPST switch on this model.

What about answering ALL of the rest of those questions if you really want any help?

"20 Questions" gets really really fast, especially when they get ignored. It's up to YOU to provide the details. Otherwise, we'll probably just tell you to take it to a shop and hire someone who knows how to diagnose and fix the problem.

Roger that, but may want to leave it un-plugged when not driving the truck until he finds the cause. hate to see another F150 die prematurely. Fire sucks/

The current available switches are the improved models that don't fail like that.

Fuse F13 and the pressure switch are not the problem; read the totality of the reported symptoms along with the single answer he provided to the multiple questions. If you understand how the two functions are related, then it can makes sense. Otherwise, you'll be out in the weeds down a rabbit trail.

If the OP provides the requested information, then progress can be made. Otherwise, it becomes a guessing game.
