I love a good sleeper so when I caught this post, I new I'd appreciate this brown on brown baby. Seriously, how awesome is this?
Considering I own 3 of these trucks, I guess I'm qualified to comment. When I first saw the truck, my first thoughts were to send the owner a family size pack of Charmin. Good grief that's an ugly color for a truck. But to each his own. Not sure why he went with the Resto-Air system since the trucks came with a/c. I would have rather kept all of the factory controls instead of the Mickey Mouse *****. While I understand the owner wants to keep the CB radio, they could have done something other than beat the dash up with the mic and put it in the ashtray. And then there is the jacked up rear end. Not sure what that's about but it makes the truck look like the old Camper Specials. They were never popular with the younger crowd. But maybe the owner hauls alot with the truck which would be ashame after spending all that money on it. It appears that the shop did a pretty decent job on the truck. With the exception of the color, I like how they finished the truck off. The engine bay is really sharp. I didn't hear what transmission it has though. I know if I spent that kinda money on that truck, it would certainly have to sound a LOT louder. I really like the seats. If you drive one of these things, the hardest part is staying behind the wheel since it's a real BENCH seat with nothing but hiney grip to keep you in one spot. Otherwise, like the song says, you keep slip sliding away. Nice rig, ugly color.
