HID headlights

These are the headlights on My boy Blue. It has tinted lenses. Not enough light. I’d really like to keep the classic look. Is it easier to go back to OEM or get clear lenses for these. The truck is still in the shop (week 3), but I’m trying to think of a solution. I didn’t wire these in so I assume the factory harnesses are MIA. Suggestions?

If it was done right (doubt it), the conversion kit would plug into the factory harness.

It should be back in my driveway this week and I’ll dive in and see what’s going on

That ebay or amazon kit is trash and will never work right cause you cant put hids in halogen housings. You need to do a full retrofit which is not for the faint of heart and will run around 400 bucks for the kit and thats if you can do the conversion your self. Here is an excellent write up on doing it to our style headlights and you can keep the smoked lenses although it will cut the light down a bit but this is what im doing to mine in the near future. https://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum...-retrofit.html

Thanks! I’m probably going to go back to OEM stuff. I don’t like the tinted lenses. I traced wires yesterday in hopes of finding the old headlight bulb socket. As I figured, it was all gone, just the Crappy lights in there and a million wires and power supplies

Mine are cloudy and spider webbed. Who ever put them on was trying to be cool and save money.

I know what you mean. I don’t even have hi/lo. I just get what the power inverters decide to give the lights that day
