Paint job estimates

anyone else have a f-150 single cab repainted recently? No rust or body work needed, just paint. What price range am I looking at?

I put my Scab with camper shell in the shop at Maaco Monday for a complete paint job. Well the beige bottom was not to be painted, just the blue. The top was a little rusty and had to be sanded to bare metal. The hood was in bad shape as well as the camper shell which also had cracks in the surface. Also there was some rust on the inside bottom seam of the tailgate that was going to be a challenge. I asked for their best paint job and the quote was $2128. I debated selling it and buying a new truck but I just can't make myself write a check for $34k to $40k.

Paint jobs will range from $1500 - $3000 depending on who does it.

I think I can get used to the clear coat peeling and the faded hood. It gives it character

If you are willing to sand it, you can probably get Maaco to spray it for cheap.

Roadie -- I'm right there with you... the price of these new trucks (which is pretty much the same thing I got now) is redonkulous.
