Pcm reset for 96 f150 5.0 4x4

Having a couple issues. Motor is 5.0 trans is e40d.
Trans once waned up getting torque converter trouble code, it's shifting late and the speedo is not accurate. Od light flashing. Shifts 1,2, late into 3 and even later into 4 once in 4 it tries to. Keep shifting back into 3.then back to fourth after a longer than normal period. Can resetting pcm possibly restore and fix the problem? Or is. This a good start Also how do I do that?

Codes will be added when I can get them again. Probably in a day or two

Highly unlikely. However, you can disconnect the battery negative cable for 10 minutes to reset the PCM back to defaults and find out.

Need codes. Off the top of my head, it sounds like a possible speed sensor issue.
