suspension play

i have a 94 f150 1/2 ton 2wd pick up single cab i recently did my brakes and now i have a significant amount of play when jogging the steering going down the road as it feels loose and the drivers side tire has a bad vibration when i go above 50 mph its actually got me scared

Did you change your rotors ? Maybe you didn't adjust the bearings properly.
You should have repacked your bearings when you did the brakes.
To tighten your bearings you; tighten them very tight (40 to 50 ft lbs) which is fairly tight with a ratchet while turning the rotor, THEN you loosen them off about 1/4 turn and retighten until they're snug - not loose but not cranked down hard; then you lock them there with the castle nut locker and cotterpin.
At that point the rotor should turn easily but have no "play" if you grab the sides and try to rock it back and forth.
