I have an 1989 f150. Im looking to replace the truck box as its rusted to scrap metal. Anyone know the years with similar boxes? I have the long box with dual gas tanks. If someone could help me out with years that will fit.

 

'80-86 boxes have a body line that arches over the wheelwell. That's the only cosmetic difference. Sometime around '90, the t/g latch changed, but that only means you have to match the gate to the box. You can bolt any '80-96 (& '97 <8500GVWR) box onto any '80-96 truck with that box size.
