need to figure out what engine I have . 245,000 miles and as of now I think it is done . very loud internal knock . oil pressure drops to 0 and flutters when at a stop . balancer has a very bad off balance wobble . I have not had the pan off yet , but preparing for the worst .

5.8 with the H engine code . It shows one with air in the intake and one with air in the head . I'm not sure what I'm looking for to determine this .

I have the 3.55 rear . would I dare replace it with a 302 or is the gas mileage difference not worth the power loss? we do pull a trailer at times .
