i use this vehicle very little. when I recently tried to put it in 4wd, it fels like the rear is locking up. could this be from sitting idle for so long or may i have major issues?

exactly like that. Like the rear brakes are holding. is that normal when in 4wd on dry pavement? not turning, just going straight. I am not experienced with 4wd, so am not sure. one person said there is a problem, another said there is nothing wrong with it, it has "limited slip differential". I am trying to sell this truck, cause I rarely use it, but don't want to stick someone if there is a problem. Thanks!

4WD should not be used on dry pavement, if you take it to a dirt road and try it, it will feel better than on dry pavement. You should be fine IMHO

How long have you had the truck? Do you know if the front and rear gears are the same?

Also - are the front and rear tires the same size?
