I have a 91 150 6 cyl auto 2 wd. A few days back I started the truck & it idled extremely high for 10 to 15 seconds & then there was a loud pop from under the hood & it died out. The pop wasnt a backfire pop. The truck wouldnt restart & there was no power it wouldnt even crank, no buzz at the key but had lights. Checked the battery & it has juice but there isnt any life at the key. When I turned the key it maybe made a faint click twice in 8 times trying to start it. Starter wires are tight. Any ideas on what it could be or where & how to start diagnosis?

You might check the underhood relay/fuse box and the ECM behind the drivers kick panel and emergency brake assembly.
