Whew! Hot in SoCal, I think I will do coolant flush, some questions
My friend just got towed. Late model BMW 7 series. No coolant, smoke everywhere, blew his power steering. My ex's car had barely any coolant. I saw a minivan engine on fire on highway.
Not sure when my coolant was changed before buying it. But I topped it off a couple of weeks ago when the heat started up here in Socal
But I think I will go and flush and change it so it'll be nice and clean.
I think I did this with my dad when I was 12. I think he just drained it from bottom by some type of drain nut. Took a hose and flushed it all out, and then put the nut back and refilled.
I saw these directions on another forum. Will it be same/similar procedures for an older model like mine? I mean will the drain areas be in same area as these directions below?
