93 F150 Windshield Wiper Issue

I'm new so if I miss anything let me know. I figured I would start with the whole story to make my problem as clear as possible.

I was on the highway the other day and of course summer in Florida I ran into a quick shower. I turned on my wipers and they seemed a little weird but they were getting the job done so I ignored it. It was when the rain stopped that i found out my wipers wouldn't stop. Of course I tried moving the switch back and forth thinking it was the contacts but no luck. They stayed on no matter what I did until I found a spot to pull over and fully turn the truck off.

Later when I was testing them to see what exactly it was doing the problem would keep changing. Either turning it from off to the first notch would make then go forever as if I was pushing the **** in, or every position would be off unless I changed it and the wipers would momentarily move when the switch was in between notches.

The next thing I did was pull the end cap off and clean the contacts out right. This seemed to work but not completely so I just replaced the whole switch to eliminate that part. Now they wipers work "normally" as in the timer functions and everything else does.

The issue now is that they wipers seem to have two stopping points. One position is slightly higher than the normal stopped position and the other is all the way up so the wipers are vertical. The system treats both of these spots as if they were the down position. What I mean is that with it on one of the timer settings the wipers will move to the upper position, stop, wait the time, and then move to the lower position, stop and wait for the time again, and from there finish going down and then back to the upper position in one go.

I don't know if this is because I had to turn the truck off with them still running and I just need to manually rotate them back or that the module behind the glove box is bad. I should also mention that the motor isn't that old, I replaced that last summer.

If someone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I have to go back to college on Tuesday and hope to have this fixed by then seeing as they are kinda important.

Too long version.
Wipers stop in two positions for the timer setting and neither are the full down position. Replaced the whole switch so that isn't the problem. Either module behind glove box or motor itself. Replaced motor less then a year ago.

Thank you,

Brandon
