Recent tune up

Over the last week I replaced the following:
Plugs
Wires
Cap/Rotor
ECT sensor
TPS
IAC Valve
PVC/Breather
Air FIlter
IAT sensor

Now I just need to set a bench mark to see what my MPG's are. It does idle like new now.

How do you benchmark the MPG's? Is there a method? I just fill up (my guage is broken and always on empty). Its currently in the shop for a few problems (failed smog) but I do have new wires, plugs, rotors as well. I was thinking of:
I know its 18 gal
Drive for a few days
Add fuel
See how much I add to tank
Divide that and I'll get a ballpark number

Is this the same method you do? Oh, mines is a 1995 V8 XL F150

Fill the tank each time, divide miles driven since last fillup by gallons you put in to get MPG.
