just exploring all my options!

Ok so my 88 F150 302 threw a rod recently and I need to get another EFI 302 engine. I found an 84 F150 302 running and driving but the truck is carbed and I really dislike carbs. So my question is can I take the upper and intake manifold, my dizzy with the 84 gear on it put it all on the 84 302 and drop it in my 88 F150?
I am not worried about performance stuff right now just want to be able to get my 88 back on the road fast as I need a daily driver and the 84 F150 above won't fit my needs.

Yeah, carbs suck compared to EFI. Only difference I can think of is you will need a mechanical fuel pump block off plate. Or just leave the mechanical pump in place not doing anything.

ok good to know. Thanks Adrian.
I completely agree I am getting rid of the last 2 carbed engine vehicles (85 chevy and 84 B2) in my family's line of trucks after this all will be EFI.
