Oil leak on 95 150?
I just recently purchased a 1995 F 150 with a 5.0 and 5 speed manual transmission. The truck has an oil leak that only seems to be pressent when the truck has been driven for a bit. I've talked with the dealer about the leak and they are going to have their mechanic take a look at it. In the mean time tho I wanted to see if anyone here had experienced a similar problem to what mine is having?
The leak seems to be worst after the truck has driven for about 30 mins then after turning the truck off or at stop lights the truck will give off the smell of burnt oil particularly on the passenger side of the truck.
Upon taking a closer look under the passenger side one morning after a drive into work I could see the oil dripping from between the engine and transmission on to the hot exhaust pipe thus causing the lovely aroma of burning oil.
From reading here as well as other message boards I'm trying to figure out if this is actually an engine oil leak or the manual transmission leaking?
Thanks for any input.

my truck had the same problem as yours, but turned out to be transmission oil. it would drip right between where the engine meets the tranny. i thought it was engine oil, but then when i opened the tranny drain plug, the fluid was a little low. i still havent gotten it fizxed, i just fil it back up every month or so. good luck with the problem!
