problems after switching to LED tali lights

i replaced the tail lights with led 3157r i didnt install load resistors because i have an electronic flasher they dont blink fast. but my problem was the lights would stay on real dim with the key turned on, no big deal, so this morning i warmed my truck up went driving ABS and check engine light came on so i pulled over to check the brake fluid (thinking low fluid because of light) it was fine so i keep driving and i noticed my tourqe converter wont lock at 30mph i went back home to install the resistors problems fixed lights dont glow dim and ABS and CEL went off tourqe converter is locking, now, at night i noticed with the runniong lights on the back LEDs stay on full power, when i hit the brakes they dont go bright?! i took the resistors out and the lights work perfect except the first things i listed happen! whats going on here? sorry for the long story tia.

have you checked the polarity of the bulbs versus the polarity of the bulb socket???

the problem could be the bulbs themselves....

Sorry for the late reply I had trouble changing my password. I found the problem that on the passenger side the wires were covered in dirt and what I thought was a ground was actually was the running light wire. So I fixed the problem but I switched back to regular bulbs because the leds I had were dimmer than the regular bulbs. Thanks for the help guys! I wish someone made some stock style clear red led taillights like I've seen on some Chevys oh well thanks again
