Hi, I have a 96 f150. I am just experimenting with some tire sizes and cannot decide on which way to go. Im trying to decide on 255/60/15 all the way around or 275/60/15 all the way around. I tried the staggering with the 275 in the back and 255 in the front, and dont like that, looks too mismatched. Here are some pics.....

You have better eyes than me if you can tell the difference in 12mm of sidewall height difference.

The275s have greater load capacity and a wider contact patch than the 255s. They also are closer in diameter to the OEM tires so they fill the wheel wells slightly better. Makes it pretty much a no-brainer. The only thing to be careful of is that the 275s fit a 7.5"-9.5" rim width whereas the 255s fit a 7"-9" rim width so you should have 7.5 wide rims to use the 275s
