Chris Bower
For those of you who may not know, Chris Bower, who hadn't been on here for a while, but who's responses to quite a few questions on the Pre-1997 Models Forum are on here, passed away a few days ago.
Chris was an ASE certified technician, owned a beautiful Eddie Bauer 1995 extended cab F150 that he loved working on, and, until congestive heart failure sapped his strength, owned and ran an automotive shop in Ventura, Ca., where he died. R I P Chris...thanks for all your help with my 95 F150, and everybody else on here who he helped...

That really sucks. Most of us here on the forum would know him by his screen name of Pkrwud. Very helpful and down to earth guy... I enjoyed quite a few laughs on the site here with him. I get the feeling I could have really enjoyed an evening at the races or wrenching with him....
Thanks for letting us know Earnedit....

Quite a few people from here have moved on since the time Chris was active on the site, but I think it's safe to say he helped a lot of people. He was also one of the guys that looked at the people in this forum as his "inner circle" of sorts. I remember him posting about a female friend that he was getting closer with... his kinda gal and their first "date" was at the track with her helping in the pits.
I know we had some comical exchanges... I'll miss the guy. If you have any contact with his family or close friends on Facebook or via email please let them know he was also appreciated by those that never got to meet him in person.
Without a doubt a great guy. I lived in California before I came out here and was familiar with some of his common likes out his way. If I had got out there on business or anything it was a given I would have let him know and spent some time with him.

Aside from the mechanical wonder and just-about-know-it-all he was, he was funny as hell and, yes, many a comical exchange. I was on here the other day and happened to click on a post from a few years back that he had responded to. Sent shivers down my back.
