$200 electric fan conversion

Here's everything you should need if you have A/C. This set up will only draw 12 amps! Don't pay 600 bucks for a kit!... http://m.summitracing.com/cart

Uhhh, that is a link to an empty shopping cart.

Unless you are doing deep water crossings where an Efan is good to turn off, nothing is more reliable than, or moves as much air as a mechanical fan. It's not even that much of a parasitic drag with an operational fan clutch.

Crap wrong link lol. My supercharger truck has a similar setupbut its rated at 5,500 CFM which is more than enough I'm going to instal a different set up on another truck that will be going through some water. I just e fans because I can't stand the sound of mechanical fans to noisy. Let me put the right link lol

I bought the Flex-a-lite 270 and it has been doing fine for a few years. Althouth it is a little pricey. By the way electric fans make noise too if that is your only reason for the mod. If you do your own manitenance e-fans allow you to stand within the enigne compartment and that comes in real handy when changing the plugs and such. It has been proven on the dyno with our trucks they will gain around 07-12 RWHP depending. I did not feel a gain or MPG increase. YMMV

Yeah that's a very reliable kit put very expensive my friend has one the extra room is very very handy! One of my trucks I had to go electric because of the SC it makes a lot of noise at idle but can't really hear it on the road though. On another truck I plan to be a off road truck so it needs electri fans since it'll be going through mud water etc.. thanks for posting

That looks a little skimpy on the AWG and relay capacity. What is the amperage draw of the fans at startup?

Not sure summit siad the newer relay kit I posted earlier will work better. 12 inch fans pull 6 amps each and the 14 inch fans pull 7.2 amps. Ill give them a call tomorrow and try ro find out. Thanka for posting

The best set up us Lightning guys found was a Madenterprise Extreme Duty Controller and a Lincoln Mark VIII fan. I ran that set up on my old Lightning and never have a issue at the track or in the FL heat.

I've been wanting to do an e-fan setup for awhile. Thanks for the suggestion on the Mk VIII fan, I'll have to look into that!

E fan is definitely worth it but 5-600 bucks for one is too much
