Built a center console for my 95 F150

So I finally got sick and tired of the sad excuse of a cup holder I had in my 95 F150, so I built my own console. I made it to specifically fit a Sonic Route 44. Anyway, here's some pictures:

So I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Especially considering what tools I had to work with and that this is pretty much the second thing I've built from wood. Just need to put a finish coat of poly on it and add some hooks to allow me to belt it in.

Wow good job you have some talent. Are you going to add carpet or anything? What kind of wood did you use and what tools?

Thanks! I've been watching a ton of Youtube videos on woodworking mainly because I find it just so dang relaxing, but it does teach you a thing or two as well.

Not planning on adding carpet. Original plan was to paint it, but then I kind of like the mdf look, so I think I'll just leave it. Plus this is a farm truck, so I don't feel it is as necessary to make it look as aesthetically pleasing as if it were my other truck. Just going to add a few coats of poly to protect it from condensation from cups.

Its MDF. Tools I used were a jigsaw, miter saw, sander, dremel tool, clamps and a drill.

And here are a few pictures from it installed in the truck:

Spiffy. I wish I paid more attention in wood shop.

Hit up a junkyard and swap those gauges with a tach cluster.

That Ford emblem looks awesome! Amazing that it turned out that good if you did it with just a Dremel. The whole thing really does look like a quality piece crafted by skilled hands

Thanks everyone!
After driving around with it for a while, it was just what I was looking for. Makes having something to drink while driving so much easier. No longer having to frantically grab for my cup while taking a turn.

Do you have the measurements or a blueprint you can post a pic of, I'd like to build one because it's such a good idea and it's a pain in the *** to hold my drink between my legs when I'm driving.
