'93 f-150 xl [mil/koeo diagnostics]
Hey Guys & Gals,
So my MIL light has been coming on and going off repeatedly over that last couple months and I finally had some time to try to diagnose the issues.
I recorded the sequences for the KOEO diagnostics, and I'm pretty sure I've got all the codes correct, I was just wanting a second, third, etc opinions to make sure I pulled them correctly.
The video below is about 2:20.
Codes I pulled:
||| ||| = 3 3 = System Pass
||| ||| || = 3 3 2 = EGR valve opening not detected.
||| ||| |||| = 3 3 4 = DPFE or EVP circuit above the closed limit of 0.67 volts.
|||||| || = 6 2 = 4/3 or 3/2 pressure switch circuit failed open.
|||||||| |||||| = 8 6 = 3  4 Shift solenoid circuit failure.
All the code information was taken from the http://oldfuelinjection.com/?p=13 website.
From the codes, I do believe it's an EGR issue. In the KOEO diagnostics mode, I wouldn't expect the EGR system to actually be working.
I mainly became concerned about the MIL when I towed a 5x8 Uhaul trailer about 100 miles and used almost 12 gallons of gas. That's pretty crappy gas mileage in my book. It equates to about 9 mpg.
As always, any feedback or information is appreciated.
