hey guys

i picked up a clean,very clean 1988 f150 4.9 EFI motor,stick shift,4wd

truck ran great for a few days,then started running poorly,stalling,etc
oil level is high,smelled like fuel ?

checked fuel pressure,ok

pulled plugs,#2,4 and 6 were black fouled

unplugged ignition module,cranked the motor with the plugs out - fuel mist was noted at those cylinders ?

think injectors are stuck/leaking down ?

 

That's the first thing I'd check. Other possibilities are bad plug wires and a worn out/cracked distributor cap.
