Valves

I have a 1994 F-150 4.9 6 cylinder. The truck runs great. Some mornings when I start it, the valves rattle. After the 1st morning start it doesn't do it. Unless it sits for a few hours. Anyone know how to fit this?

Similar issue on my 93 6cyl. Mostly mine does it under load like driving up an incline. Would like to fix mine too.

Yours may be spark knock, totally different issue. You can troubleshoot yours by running high octane gas, if it shuts up it's spark knock. The way to fix that is either keep using high octane or retard the timing.
