A/C stops blowing when accelerating

My A/C stops blowing through the dash vents every time I accelerate. Works fine once I let off the gas. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the vacuum system but don't know just where to look. I have seen many threads with suggestions about the "door" being loose but this is not my case. I'm pretty sure there is a loss of vacuum to the dash control that operates the "doors". Can anyone tell me where to look? Someone has suggested something about a valve somewhere that may be bad that is supposed to keep vacuum going to the controls even during acceleration?

there is a little actuator on the passenger side in the engine compartment by the cowl. that line is known to crack and break. check it out. It's for the blend door.

Thank you so much. That was exactly the problem. Had to cut the line at the "fitting" then trim the "fitting" enough to get the line back up into the fitting and a little tape to keep things tight. Works like a champ. I don't think the A/C has blown that hard out of the dash vents since I have had it. LOL

I just fixed that problem myself. Autozone sells just the fitting for a few dollars in case yours doesn't stay put.

Debreke, could you post a picture of fitting / hose / actuator valve location under the hood? I'd like to check this myself....

This is a 7 year old thread, he may not be around any more. You could post a thread in the HVAC forum.
