what to look for?

I'm admittedly a novice when it comes to old trucks, but i plan on getting dirty and learning all i can. I'm looking to purchase a truck, it is a lifted 1995 f150 extended cab with 35" tires. She's is pretty and the paint is great, interior looks good too. What should i look for that would be an obvious red flag? I'm not investing a lot of money but would prefer to avoid a compete lemon. Thanks in advance!

Heh heh, "old". Anyway, welcome to the forum. I try to not buy lifted trucks because simply it costs a lot to lift correctly, and more often than not people cheap out and cut corners.

How does it drive? Clunks? Can you let go of the wheel and it track straight?

Anyway you look at it, lifted or stock, these are hitting the age of just needing about a grand of parts thrown down for general maintenance.

Take a friend to be a second opinion.
