120 mph Lightning Speedometer compatibility

Hell,
I am new to forums so i hope i'm doing this right. I have a 92 f150 flare side with the standard non tach instrument cluster. In researching the tach mod i want to do i found out that the 93-95 Lightings had 120mph speedometers. I know that if i get a tach i need to get one from a 92 or 93, but what about a lightning speedometer? Can i use any 120mph 93-95 lightning speedometer in my 92 f150?

I think youd need to find one from an 93, well that's if you can find one...

Yes, but good luck on that one. Limited pool of parts, and I've been half *** looking myself.

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. I found a lightning cluster out of a 94 at a junk yard for 175. I just dont know if it's worth the chance to find out if it will work, but hey i could always turn around and sell it if it doesn't work.

I'd jump on that for sure. I'm not sure if the '94 tach section would work with your '92, but you can always get a more common '92 cluster to have the gauges parts, and just use the lightning PSOM.

Here are some pictures to show how the cluster comes apart.

Be careful to not lay the PSOM's face down.
