due to parking brake not working, and 1 cable rusted, i have put a new cable in it, but the spring on the end looks way longer than the one that was in it, the cable itself comes out further where the equalizer is aswel are there different types of these cable ? btw its the rear end left cable. the other side works.

 

There are different lengths for different wheel base, I believe that rule applies to the forward cable only. Did you measure the old one? If so, try to get one the same length.
