88 302 stalls at takeoff
Please help!
Mechanics are stumped here. My 88 302 automatic ocassionally stalls when you press the gas to go after a stop. when it does stall, it is difficult to restart at times - acting as if "flooded". This truck has had almost everything replaced: EGR, fuel inj, fuel filter, tank pumps, tank switch, IAC, distributor, coil, wires, plugs, ICM, fuel pressure reg, cleaned throttle body numerous times, Trans rebuilt, etc, etc, etc.
does this on both tanks, no matter what type of fuel.
throws no codes (per mechanic)
We're down to either: O2 sensor, computer, ??? . could it be trans / torque conv?
this has us stumped.
