6" lift with... 35s?

I have an '89 F150 with 6" Suspension Lift and 3" Body lift.

I'm currently running 35's...

I was originally going to drop it 3" and take the body spacers off due to 6" lift being perfect for me... But, my mechanic told me the 35's would rub if I do so.

Is this true? Can a F150 with a 6" Suspension lift run 35s?

I've heard of people trimming the fenders and such but don't know if that's the route to go with...

Thanks so much for the help.

35"s fit fine with a 6" lift, actually they'll fit with a 4". Just watch the wheel backspacing, that is what causes rubbing unless ya run a very aggressive tire like a bogger, then the lugs may catch the bumper/fender a little. Only rubbing maybe on th radius arms with regular 35s.
