'82 F150 Brake Issues

Earlier this week my brakes started acting funny. I have to push down really hard to make the truck come to a stop, it makes a hydraulic type sound, and it bogs the engine down almost to the point where I think it's going to stall out. I replaced the master cylinder recently (a $400 fix) and had work done on the brake lines before that. I just hope it's not the master cylinder again. Please help! Thanks

What's "a hydraulic sound"??? With the engine idling, e-brake set, trans in N, put your head under the steering column & push on the brake pedal. If you hear a loud hiss from the booster pushrod, replace the booster. It's a VERY easy process.
