New to site and ford trucks...basic advice.

I've always liked ford trucks. Now I finally have a sexy one. It's a 95 4x4 shirt bed regular cab with a 4" lift and hankook dynapro MTs. Btw love the tires. I'm wondering about any magazines devoted to ford trucks that do have information on pre-97 trucks. I'm trying to do research to build it. First thing is first. Anyone know where I can get a quality clutch kit for it. I think a bearing in there went bad and I just want to replace it all. Also I have been using the bed quite a bit and would like slightly more load carrying capacity. If I put a load of firewood back there it starts squaring pretty fast. The lift in the rear is blocks. What are the pros and cons of blocks vs lift springs and how would I add 500lbs of capacity.

Magazines are just big ad flyers with the best info you are gonna find being on forums.

I'm happy with a 11" centerforce clutch in my '92 Bronco with the M5OD-R2 like you have.

Blocks are a cheap way to lift, and I don't like any higher than 4" for the greater chance to spit one out while playin' in 4x4. Best bet is to find a spring shop to build you a custom set for what you need. Be aware, stiffer springs ride like a dumptruck, and just move stresses of more load to other components of the truck.

Get some lift springs, custom, deaver, bronco graveyard stuff doesn't matter. Get them made to factory spec +500 pound or factory spec and with some overload springs.
I prefer overloads, they don't change the spring rate until you get weight in the bed.

Thanks. I started looking at clutches. I like centerforce's reputation. I want eventually get a 300hp 340 ft-lb crate motor so I'd like the clutch to be able to handle it. Does anyone have any good words for where or which model.

An OEM clutch will even handle that motor, but the M5OD won't.

You are gonna need a ZF S5-42 or 47 from a F-2/350 with a 351.

Air bags are good for increasing the load capacity and keeping a good ride. When changing the clutch upgrade to the 11" if yours has the 10".

Air bags do not increase the load capacity, all they do is let you level it.

An 8.8 can only handle so much.

The Air bags are only adding to the load capacity of the springs, I did not mean that the trucks GWVR capacity would increase.
