we are trying to replace the ignition and the after we put it in correctly the truck stays on won't shut off what do we do

just replaced my ignition in my ford f150 can anyone tell me what i did wrong my truck will not turn off

The ignition switch? If so, you got the gear and rack out of alignment to push and pull the actuation rod to the different positions.
