I'm not the most mechanical one on here, but first things first, why do you feel that the flywheel needs to be replaced? Secondly, there is a lot of information that needs to be shared before an estimate of difficulty or cost could be made. (is your truck 2 or 4 wheel drive? what motor trans. combo? your general location? lift? interested in trying to do this yourself - tools, time, help, and room to do the work, or have a garage do it for you?) Next, go to a parts store and get a book on your truck, for general information and to help you learn about it's parts and how to change them. It won't be an end all to all of your questions, but it will give you some basic knowledge on the systems and components, for around $25.
Welcome to the site. I myself am rather new here as well, but I believe that you will find some pretty good advice and plenty of opinions to help you along on here.

^^^This. They're not really expensive. I know the one for my jeep is around $50-60. Have you ever dropped a transmission before to replace any part dealing with the clutch?

since u said flywheel n not flex plate im assuming its a stick.
if ur replaceing the fly wheel id say to replace ur clutch pressure plate throw out bearing and piolet bearing

if u never droped a tranny b4 let me give u an idea b4 u do it
2wd
i chuck the front tires then jack the back of the truck up.
then i take the gear shift off then put a clean rag in the hole
go under disconect drive shaft and clutch hose " depending if its internal or external slave" then slide a trans juck under the trans
then take the trans mount off the crossmember then with the trans jacked up pull the crossmember out
disconect ur revers light wires
lower the trans slightly than place blocks under the motor so it dont flop back unbolt the starter
and now u are ready to un bolt the trans and slide it back and u have acesse to the clutch assembly
after ur dun to put it back is the opposite as taking the trans out
remember u will lose some fluid so make sure u add some to top the trans up

if 4wd u got the tcase inkage 2 drive shafts skid plate and the tcase its self to take off

if ur not mechanicly inclined or have the tools to do this safly id find a budy who does or take it to a shop

Interesting, haven't had to replace one yet myself. Just always get them machined for 10bucks when doin' a clutch job.
