1983 Ford half ton

I'm looking at a 1983 F150.
Specifications: 4x4, 4 speed, 300 straight 6, some rust, 117k miles.
Been used as a farm truck. What's a good price? What should I look for? What's the MPG range with these? Thanks

Wild *** guess without a picture, 1500. Not going to get any better than 15mpg maybe.

The "some rust" is the big question. If the rust is on the cab corners and wheel arches no big deal. If the rust is on the frame, spring perches, cab supports, or the radiator support its a bit more involved to repair. Here in New England your truck with minimal rust on the wheel wells and cab corners would bring about $1500 because of the low mileage. No rust and it would bring $500-$750 more.
The gas mileage will depend on what axle ratio Ford installed but 15 mpg sounds about right with 3.08s. My 83 with AOD 3.55s and a 302 did 16-18 mpg. My 95 300, 3.08s M5OD gets 16-20 mpg.
Its a pretty good WAG IMHO

Thanks to everyone for the WAGs.

The seller wants $750 for it.
