i have a 93 f-150 with the 5.0L 301 cu in motor and its 4x4 wht transmission does it have? and what kinda transfer case? and gearing on the front and rear? and what could possibly be wrong if the transmisson is making me manually shift gears? and what could be wrong if the reverse went out on a spare transmission for it? i know its alot of questions but all answers will be appericated thanks so much

 

Post the trans and axle codes from the vehicle ID sticker on the door jamb.
They identify the trans type and the axle ratings and ratios.

 

Trans code T for the AOD, E for the E4OD in '93. Google Ford axle code chart and see what your sticker says under "axle". Transfer case is a Borg Warner 1356.
