See? I can sell...

Did something I don't normally do and sold a truck before picking up a new one. Thanks to Apache0715 for picking up my '95 Bronco and taking it to a good home.

Then cruzed up to Easton PA and met up with my grandfather to pick up his '94 Bronco he bought new and put on 45k miles since then.

He's comin' up on 90, and with a new F-150, doesn't want to take care of two rigs anymore.

So what better way than to celebrate almost new years with the ole man is to go out drinkin'!

So, as promised exterior pictures with the new tires. The front bumper was banged in, so I stole one from my friend's '92 parts truck. But the valence and brackets were junk, so had to use them from the '94's and bolt everything together, then space out a half inch to clear. New 33x12.5 Procomp AT tires run smooth. The spare and two old front tires were date coded '99. Saved the best rear tire as the new spare.

Next is a head unit instal. Cassette deck isn't gonna cut it.

First off, as always, thank you for your service! Second off, beautiful Bronco. I'd love to start with on as clean as that. The only headunit I'll ever use is a Knewood eXallon. I've tried Sony (POS), Panasonic (not as bad as Sony), Clarion (sounds good be the CD ejection mechanisim slips up), Jenson (worst of all), Alpine (good, but overpriced for the features you get), Blaupunkt (heating problems...a lot), and Pioneer (close second to Kenwood eXallon). The eXallon by far has the best sound and features, I've never been happier with a head unit. I'm not easy to make happy either...

I have in all my drivers the same JVC HD radio unit with the ipod connector they sell at best buy so I don't have to learn a new button layout.

You are welcome.

I did the same thing with my truck and civic (before I sold it) so I can see where you're comin from. It's also easier cuz I only had to teach the wife how to use one of them. Do you have any other plans for a stereo in that one?

booba5185, I to have a Kenwood. I just got my truck a little over a month ago, and I've been thinking about speakers behind the seat. Being a tall guy, my seat stays all the way back, so minimal room. Minimal budget as well puts tunes at the lower end of the totem poll too. Still, I have been asking around as to brands of speakers and sizes the would give a decent sound, fit in the tight space, and be on the cheep. SO, what are any thoughts or recommendations from here?

The front right speaker just kinda crackles, so I picked up a set of two from best buy on sale for 35bucks. Back ones seem to work fine right now with the fade all the way set to those.

I love my Alpine Type-Rs, I got them about 4 years back at Best Buy for ~$100. They're components so I put the tweeters at the top of the A-Pillar. I have a dedicated 8AWG wire for the eXallon with internal amp powering the Alpines, and truthfully I love it. You can see the tweeters here:

...As you can also see the stereo is officially only for looks now cuz of the kid...
On a budget, some Infinity Reference Components are a fantastic deal on ebay, just get the 6.5 inch ones. As far as a sub goes, I've always been very happy with Kickers, the CVR series to be specific. Infinity subs also sound good, but I have had 3 of them got out on me because the tinsel between the cone and the frame breaks.

Well, had to change the signature one more time here as one more is out the door. Goodbye to my good friend named Hiboy to a fellow fullsizebronco'er. He's already bolted on 37s in place of my 35s, and makin' me miss it already.

In good hands though with a mess of other dentside trucks.
