no running lights

Last night I pulled all of the god awful running lights of the side of my truck. Everything seemed fine afterward. All of my running lights, turn and tail, worked fine. I go to work this morning and I get pulled over cause their not working. I suspect the fuse but I have blinkers and brake lights. Any suggestions?

Blinkers & brakes have nothing to do with the parking light circuit (Bn). Either the headlight switch burned up, or something you ripped out broke loose. What did you remove: factory, or aftermarket running lights? How were they connected, and how did you DISconnect them?

Well I went and checked everything. Fuses, all bulbs including plate lights and double checked everything I disconnected when I took off the aftermarket running (big rig style) lights. I couldn't find anything that was wrong. So I changed all the bulbs. Still nothing. Went to check the switch..... Look what I found

A bunch of jacked up stuff!! The red butt connectors are mine. The rest of it was nothing but electrical tape. I would love to kick the p.o. right in the nuts so he couldn't further contaminate the earth.

It's fairly common for the headlight switch terminals to burn up, so he probably replaced the switch & pigtail.

...badly.

Before you crimp any more butts on there, read this:

Steve, what exactly is that tool called so I can find one? The finished product looks awesome. The way I did it was I spliced the wires together and then slid the butt connector over and crimped. I would have liked to have used something that I could take apart again but the butts were all I had at the time.
Thanks.
