My fiancee just inherited 96 f150 eddie bauer 5.0 v8, long wheel base with topper, nice truck. The fuel gauge doesn't read properly for either tank. Guessed driving it all the way from Ohio to Memphis, got lucky. My question is, how to fix this for her. Manual says 19 gallons for rear tank and 18 for front tank, it goes to full on rear tank and seemed to read ok during the drive, once it got down to 1/8 tank area on gauge, i switched to front tank, and it only showed just below 3/4 tank. When i filled it up, I kept filling till it looked like it was fixing to overflow. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Have other issues that i will work on later (such as a lot of rust on bottom side, this is the first vehicle from the north i have ever seen, and wow, never had one do this in the south, No offense anyone. And plugs definately need replacing.) Thanks
