Hey folks, I had another F-150 given to me this week, only catch was I had to come get it. It is a 1994 regular cab, long bed with no cosmetic issues other than a cracked windshield. 300 I6 with and E4OD. Free is free, so I agreed.

Got to the truck tonight, put a battery in it and it turns over strong but no start. I can not hear the fuel pump cycle and prime with the key on. It has been a while since I have messed with these year models of trucks so a good place to start would be appreciated.

check your fuses and relays if they are good unplug the pump and get a test light and have someone turn the key and if u got power then pull the pump.

does it have dual tanks or single

if dual flip the selector and see if the other tank primes

 

Inertia switch?

 

Check the fuses and the fuel pump and PCM power relays

Thanks folks, I will check the fuses and relays tomorrow. Are the relays labled on the back side of the cover to tell which ones are for the fuel pump? I am at work tonight and don't have my '92 to look for myself.

If it smells like normal gas, check fuel pressure with a gauge:
