Don't have to, but it makes it easier. Just another one of those jobs that disassembling and reassembling takes longer than anything.
Thought you were selling your truck bigboy?

Yea, I feel almost like I should just keep her till spring. Fix her up all winter and then go for an SUV right before the time comes when the baby is due!

No you really don't have to remove the hood. Like I said if you had an extra set of hands it would be a tad easier. IMHO It made more room to remove the cowl without incident and allowed easier access to the wiper motor. If there is one thing I despise about working on a vehicle, it's obstacles.

Afterall it is a cavalier. Just kidding. If it had the ecotec 4 banger I'd be interested if I had the dough. Not sure what year the ecotec came out. Definatly not a Government Motors kind of guy.

If your wife is bitching about the Buick, I bet she would turn up her nose at a Cavalier...........

Back seat is a bit small for 3 kids too.

Yeah she don't like the Buick. "too grandma" she says. One of the cars she liked was a two door cavalier with the ecotec. I said no. Way too small. The two extra doors would be ok. The Buick, as much as I don't like Gm, is serving us well. Just starting to nickel and dime us to death. 190k and it shows.

BUICK!!!! Back when when I first got my license I tried to kill my moms buick.
All I ever managed to do was blow a head gasket..
phucking beast hahahaha.
I told my gf if I ever need to buy a car for cheap I'm getting a 90's buick from a grandma that only drove it on sundays. She laughed at me.. I was serious.

I have some questions here. 1. I realize the time line and that this isn't a "this week" thread. 2. I was told that the switch would be the problem with my wipers, which only work on high, and won't self park. I have priced the switch at around $40 here in E. TN. From what I read in this thread, it seems as though the switch, which seems to click through the various positions correctly, is not the problem. My new to me truck is a '90 150 300 5 speed 4x4 long bed, unknown mileage. Just posing the question about the switch here, and looking for direction to fix this issue.

It's all up in there air as far as I'm concerned. I know my motor is the problem, Some days it will work on all positions some days only high.
I took the motor apart to find this

Bringing this one back just for the sake of useless info.
Got a different motor, no difference.
Had it plugged in, but not mounted and it still only worked on high. Got to thinkin well damn it has to be the switch or "intermittent module"
Well I gave the dash a few hammer fist punches and the frickin things started working on low and intermittent. Hit the dash again and off.
So now, who knows where the module is actually located?
