Wipers, bumper, tailgate!

Wipers, bumper, tailgate!
So I just got back from a 630 mile round trip across the state and back...Now I need a little bit of help!
First time I have taken the truck in the rain and realized I only have one speed on my wipers, and that is fast! Plus they dont return back to the starting point when I switch it off...they just sit in the middle of the windshield...fun.
Plus! We stopped for lunch on the pass and what do you know! I got a hit and run! Got to love it! So now my tailgate is smashed in and my rear bumper is bent to hell on the passanger side!
So my questions...
How do I fix the wiper problem? (I have a 91, it should have slow and fast)
Does anyone have a spare bumper and tailgate I could buy off of them?
Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem with my wipers. I was going to rob the one of my red truck and see if it does the trick. If not I am going to do the same with the switch. As I know they are both good. The only spare bumper I have is for the front and my tailgate was badly damaged in the storm. I'm gonna try the wipers motor this Sunday. I can let you know the outcome.

If the wipers don't park, that's undoubtedly a fault in the motor, so start by changing it. That'll probably fix the 1 speed, too.
I have a decent (but not perfect) factory rear bumper to sell, but not a t/g. Does yours have this style of latch, or the older sliding bar?
Here's the progression on the bumper:

I have that same style latch on mine, It was stuck though-of the arms on the inside of the latch snapped cause of rust...So I had to pull the rods to get it to open before lol. I live in Pullman Wa. How much for the bumper? Is it straight? I can take off the surface rust and paint it so that is not a problem for me.

I straightened it, and I only want $40, but shipping would be in the $70 range and this bumper certainly isn't worth $110. You should be able to find a better one MUCH closer to home for a lower total cost. Use GoogleEarth to fly around and look at salvage yards to see which ones have stock. Pay attention to the imagery dates.

My wipers do that off and on, last night during a torrential downpour I got the old wipers stick every quart inch of the stroke and then on the way home I only had high speed, but they did park fine.
Would the motor from an 87 be the same? I got an 87 parts truck for free so if it does work I'll be oh so happy.

Well I didn't quite get to the wiper motor yesterday. While doing the tune up I broke the water neck and had to get a new one. Well the heater bypass was seized on the old water neck and couldnt get it apart. With the help of Glc and Lowe's we got it to work without leaking. But having looked at what it will take to get the motor out, I can assure you it will not be easy. I plan on removing my hood to get the wiper cowl off. Even then I think its gong to be a PITA.

That'd be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and probably look ¢. Either design it yourself so it looks & works the way you want, or buy an aftermarket bumper. I designed mine, did most of the fabrication myself, & had various fab shops weld pieces on as I got them done. Eventually, I sandblasted the front & had it powdercoated. One of these days, I'll do the back one.I removed it, set it face-down on some boards to support the bent-out spots, and hit the bent-in spots from the backside with a 6' torsion bar from an Expedition. These pics show how I straightened the ones on the dually:
