m50d swap

ok got my m5od from my old 95 f150 i want to swapp into my 90 that has a t18

now ive had this trans under the truck a few months back when i replaced the flywheel ect. the stock drive shaft will work i have to move the crossmember back thats no problem

here is what i ran into it shifted fine in the 95 and goes thru the gears fine out of the truck but when i bolted it in it wouldnt come out of gear i was thinkin could that be because i didnt have the slave cylender hooked up?

my other question is my t18 has a speedo gear and it runs the electronic speed sensor in the rear. my m5 doesnt have a speedo gear n just ran on the sensor in the rear. my question is will i still have a speedometer?

i have the guage cluster from the 95 too if i might have to swap that too

so i know i got to get a diffrent clutch hose move my crossmember

also my t18 uses a 10 inch clutch and the m5 had an 11in can i keep the 10 for the m5.

No, the rear speed sensor on you '90 only does the RABS, and the '92+ rear speed sensor does it all.

You'd have to swap in a '92+ cluster like Steve did to make it work, or find a '88-'91 M5OD-R2 trans with the speedo connector.

Same sensor on the axle no matter the year. Just does additional PSOM feed in the '92+ trucks.
