have 1995 f150 4x4 my sons truck we all know how they drop in the front he is wonting to level it out now the ? will 250 springs level it up and will it change anything or just buy a leveling kit for it thanks for the help
I had been wondering this also, and found out on another Ford Truck Forum that the springs for an F-250 with the diesel engine should raise the front about 1-1/2 inches or so, depending on how much sag your existing springs have. I just ordered a set for my '89 F-150 two days ago, (Moog part #CC844), I'll let you know how it turns out.
Make sure you order some adjustable camber bushings...even then you'll have a hell of a time aligning it. I suppose you could look at the bright side, before too long you'll need all new front end suspension components; so eventually it MIGHT ride better than it does now. You'll have plenty to do for awhile lol.
Some of us know better...
They don't droop; they're BUILT that way so that, when you put a load in the back, they sit level. If he never loads it, tell him to sell it & buy a car.Tell him to leave it alone & just do good regular maintenance as described in the owner's manual.Yes, it'll screw up the alignment, ride, handling... LMC truck parts show a couple of options. One is a set of replacement springs that they say will not affect your suspension geometry. Another option is to lower the rear end with shorter springs or with a lowered shackle bracket.
